DESCRIPTION
Rust-Oleum® CombiColor® Multi-Surface coating is a solvent-based primer and topcoat in one, based on a modified alkyd binder, providing good adhesion to many types of substrates. The product does not contain lead or chromates.
RECOMMENDED USE
Rust-Oleum CombiColor Multi-Surface 7300 can be applied on many different substrates such as wood, metal, MDF, masonry, tiles, most rigid plastics, old concrete, etc. We recommend performing a small adhesion test before applying to the entire surface. CombiColor Multi-Surface is designed for brush and roller application. For metal structures in more aggressive industrial environments, we recommend CombiColor Original in combination with RustOleum CombiPrimer Anti-Corrosion 3369/3380.

RECOMMENDED WET FILM THICKNESS
105 µm
RECOMMENDED DRY FILM THICKNESS
62 µm
THEORETICAL CONSUMPTION
9 - 10 m²/l at 62 µm dry per coat, depending on color.
PRACTICAL CONSUMPTION
Practical coverage depends on many factors such as porosity and roughness of the substrate and material losses during application.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Remove oil, grease and all other surface contaminations by alkaline cleaning in combination with appropriate detergents. Remove mill scale, loose scale, loose rust, and loose coatings by scraping, wire brushing or sanding. Sand intact coatings to slightly roughen the surface. Test compatibility with the old coating before application. The surface must be clean and dry during application. New galvanized (bright aluminum finish), zinc and aluminum (new and old) surfaces must first be primed with CombiPrimer 3302. Old galvanized (dull gray appearance, showing white rust) must first be cleaned with an acid cleaner (e.g. Rust-Oleum® SE108) or by mechanical abrasion with e.g. ScotchBrite. Very porous surfaces must be sealed before applying CombiColor® Multi-Surface.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
To ensure homogeneity, coating materials must be thoroughly stirred before use.
APPLICATION CONDITIONS
Air, substrate, and coating material temperature between 5° and 35°C and relative humidity below 85%. Substrate temperature must be at least 3°C above dew point.
APPLICATION AND DILUTION: BRUSH
Use natural bristle, long-haired brushes. Dilution is usually not necessary.
APPLICATION AND DILUTION: ROLLER
Use short-pile, polyamide rollers 6-12 mm. Roller application may require 2 coats to achieve the recommended dry film thickness. Dilution is usually not necessary.
APPLICATION AND DILUTION: AIR SPRAY
Not recommended.
CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT / SPILLS
Use Rust-Oleum Thinner 160.
