How to paint tiles?

Conventional paints are ineffective on unprimed ceramic tiles. This method explains how to prime and finish your tiles to refresh them quickly and easily.

STEPS

1. Surface Preparation

Remove all visible signs of mold with a mold remover or a 1:1 bleach and water solution according to the manufacturer's instructions. Allow to dry. Ensure the surface is clean of any contaminants and anything that could impede adhesion by washing with hot water and liquid detergent, frequently changing the water, then degrease with methylated spirits and a cloth. Ensure the grout is completely dry before applying the next coat.

2. Priming

Prime all prepared ceramic tiles with one full coat of Bulls Eye® 1-2-3 Primer Sealer according to the manufacturer's instructions. Allow a minimum drying time of 1 hour under normal drying conditions.
